Hoy explicar\u00e9 este tema con claridad, empezando por lo que es una DTU. Las DTU se utilizan ampliamente en el mercado en diversos escenarios, como la agricultura, la industria, los sistemas de conservaci\u00f3n del agua y muchas otras aplicaciones.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es una DTU?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">UNA DTU (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.key-iot.com\/es\/iotproducto\/lte-dtu\/\"><strong>Unidad de transferencia de datos<\/strong><\/a>) funciona principalmente para transmitir datos de forma transparente a plataformas en la nube. Esta transmisi\u00f3n transparente significa que si tienes datos de interfaces serie RS-485 o RS-232 en tu sitio de campo, es esencialmente como extender un cable virtual a tu plataforma de forma remota.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">Por ejemplo, cuando transmito estos datos de forma transparente a la plataforma en la nube a trav\u00e9s de m\u00e9todos inal\u00e1mbricos, la plataforma en la nube puede procesar estos datos, establecer una comunicaci\u00f3n bidireccional y gestionar los par\u00e1metros. Pero, \u00bfcu\u00e1l es la caracter\u00edstica clave? Se llama \"transmisi\u00f3n transparente\", que significa exactamente lo que parece: sea cual sea el formato de los datos en la fuente, as\u00ed es exactamente como se transmiten a la plataforma. Para ello, la plataforma debe realizar las conversiones adecuadas de los datos. Con protocolos comunes como Modbus RTU o datos de comunicaci\u00f3n serie RS-232, la plataforma en la nube debe analizar estos datos antes de poder realizar el an\u00e1lisis y el procesamiento.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">\n<h2>\u00bfQu\u00e9 es una pasarela?<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.key-iot.com\/es\/iotproducto\/industrial-iot-gateway\/\"><strong>pasarela<\/strong><\/a> (literalmente \"pasarela\" en ingl\u00e9s) es algo similar a una DTU, ya que tambi\u00e9n es un dispositivo utilizado para la transmisi\u00f3n de datos. Pero, \u00bfqu\u00e9 tienen de especial las pasarelas? Las pasarelas realizan la conversi\u00f3n de protocolos y el an\u00e1lisis sint\u00e1ctico de datos. \u00bfQu\u00e9 significa esto? Por ejemplo, si mi equipo de campo utiliza el protocolo RS-485 Modbus RTU, pero la plataforma en la nube requiere el protocolo MQTT o HTTP, la pasarela puede implementar esta conversi\u00f3n entre protocolos. Esta es la mayor diferencia con respecto a una DTU.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">\n<h4>Un ejemplo pr\u00e1ctico<\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">Veamos un ejemplo real. Supongamos que tengo un sensor de temperatura y humedad que se comunica mediante el protocolo Modbus RTU a trav\u00e9s de una interfaz RS-485. Si se utiliza una DTU, los paquetes de datos hexadecimales enviados por el sensor, como \"01 03 00 00 00 02 C4 0B\", se transmitir\u00e1n a la plataforma en la nube tal cual. La plataforma en la nube necesita entonces interpretar esto como un comando de lectura Modbus que est\u00e1 leyendo los registros 0 y 1 del dispositivo n\u00famero 1.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">Sin embargo, con una pasarela, primero recibir\u00eda este paquete de datos Modbus, luego lo parsear\u00eda en valores reales como 25,6\u00b0C para la temperatura y 60,3% para la humedad, y luego lo enviar\u00eda a la plataforma en la nube en formato MQTT JSON, como {\"temperatura\":25,6, \"humedad\":60,3}. Si su plataforma en la nube ya ha desarrollado capacidades de an\u00e1lisis sint\u00e1ctico para dispositivos o protocolos espec\u00edficos, utilizar una DTU podr\u00eda ser m\u00e1s sencillo y directo. El uso de pasarelas permitir\u00eda la conversi\u00f3n de protocolos a nivel de pasarela, enviando los datos a la plataforma en nube en un formato unificado, lo que simplificar\u00eda enormemente el desarrollo de la plataforma en nube.<\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\"><\/div>\n<div translate=\"no\">En conclusi\u00f3n, tanto las DTU como las pasarelas tienen sus ventajas, y debemos elegir los dispositivos adecuados en funci\u00f3n de nuestros escenarios de aplicaci\u00f3n y requisitos espec\u00edficos.
